Mr Peewee the Drumming Puppet has been putting smiles on audiences’ faces at outdoor events, street festivals, shopping centres (and much more!) for decades.
What to expect from Mr Peewee
Mr Peewee is a delightful puppet drummer. With a sharp suit and miniature drumkit, he’ll sit on your stage or street corner drumming along to classic tracks. He plays a wide variety of music and is great to dance along with or just watch.
Concealed behind Mr Peewee is the well-seasoned street performer Dave, who brings the drummer to life
We love Mr Peewee – he’s unique, fun and engaging. He’ll always raise a smile and put a spring in the step, cheering your crowd and bringing fun and sparkle to your town centre. Whether you’re hosting a big festival or giving back to your community, Mr Peewee is a fun, accessible act for everyone to enjoy.
Forty years of street entertainment
Dave Southern has been a street entertainer since the 1980s. Originally a performer at London’s Covent Garden, he went on to have long residencies at The Albert Dock Liverpool and The National and International Garden Festivals, as well as streets and one-off bookings across the UK and Europe.
With incredible circus skills and the power to draw a crowd, Dave decided to focus his performing experience in this one delightful act. He specialises in being low maintenance and independent, with minimum set up times and technical demands. The stage is even mounted on a bicycle!
A musical drumming puppet at your next event
Mr Peewee’s ability to fire up an audience and fill a space with fun has made him popular with clients around the world. He loves an outdoor event, including fringe festivals and traditional street entertainment.
In the UK, Mr Peewee has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe and Glastonbury Festivals. Further afield, he’s performed at the F1 Grand Prix in Bahrain and festivals in Dubai and Istanbul.
